I’ve filed Inspector General legislation for several years— and even though good ideas take the scenic route in Rhode Island, this one has real momentum, and I’m proud to be leading that charge. I’m glad the Speaker of the House wants to pass it as well — hopefully we can align on a final version. Rhode Islanders deserve accountability, transparency, and real oversight of their tax dollars.

First look at the 2026 House budget — and they didn’t just raise the Governor’s proposal, they said “hold my coffee milk” and blew right past it. The House increased the budget by $340 million. It’s official — today I submitted my declaration papers to run for reelection to the Rhode Island State Senate. Serving you is the honor of my life. As Senate Minority Leader, I’ve fought to root out waste and fraud, hold the line on taxes, and deliver for my constituents. There’s still a lot of work to do to get Rhode Island back on the right track. This campaign runs on grassroots support, not special interests. The legislative session is officially wrapped up — and there was no shortage of action before the gavel came down. The General Assembly passed a bloated $15 billion budget, and yes, that comes with a tax increase. One bill that made it across the finish line bars ICE agents from operating at or near polling locations. I find that one a little puzzling — if someone is not legally allowed to vote, why would they be at a polling location in the first place? And why are federal law enforcement off

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
