When it came time to fight the sludge project, I was the only candidate in this race who showed up to testify at the State House. Because residents mobilized and our state delegation acted, the sludge plant is on pause. As your next state representative, I will introduce legislation to increase town oversight of Quonset and change zoning to permanently prohibit heavy industrial projects like sludge and asphalt processing near neighborhoods.
