Most families I talk to in the district have already tightened up this year. They’re putting off repairs and keeping the thermostat lower than they’d like. What I don’t see is Springfield doing the same. I voted to get rid of the grocery tax, and I’m going to keep pushing on what’s squeezing people hardest: property taxes that are some of the highest in the country, and energy mandates that end up on your electric bill. If folks here can find room in their budgets, state government can too.

Every dollar Springfield wastes shows up somewhere in your budget - your tax bill, your utility rates, the price of just getting through the week. I've spent my time in the Capitol asking the unglamorous questions about where the money goes, because affordability doesn't start with a slogan. It starts with a government that lives within its means, the same way your household has to.

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
