This is my last rodeo; I’ll be stepping aside in four years to allow other people to take over this task. But I want to finish strong, and I need your help to do that. I’m a native Texan, born and raised in Waco. I’ve been a state judge on five different Texas courts: 11 years as a trial judge in Houston, three years as an appellate judge on the First and 14th courts of appeals in the Houston metropolitan area, and 6 years as a justice on the Supreme Court of Texas. No one on your ballot has served on more Texas state courts than I have.

Judges are not supposed to run the government of Texas; you are. Our job is to see that contracts are enforced — property rights protected — law violators held accountable — and that government employees execute the laws faithfully and respectfully.

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
