The ongoing harassment of the Women of the Wall and worshippers who do not belong to the dominant ultra-Orthodox stream has crossed another shocking red line: tearing up the women's prayer books, precisely at the holiest place for the Jewish people. After weeks of protests by extreme ultra-Orthodox groups against a play center that is open on Shabbat, the violence turned into an actual lynching. Those protest activists attacked one of the mothers spending time there, kicked her and brutally knocked her to the ground. She ended this horrifying incident in hospital with a broken elbow.
