• Screening of the documentary “They Were and Are No More” – a nominee for the 98th Academy Awards in the Short Documentary category 🎬 The film looks at a silent protest that began in March 2025, when a handful of women decided to stand silently in response to the killing of 193 children in Gaza and the violation of the ceasefire. Each woman holds a photograph of one of the children who was killed. Every photograph bears the child's name, age, date of death, and the words “They were and are no more.” Their silence is deafening, disrupting the incessant bustle of life. • The stories behind the evictions from Silwan The documentary “One Street in Silwan,” which took part in our film incubator, focuses on Batn al-Hawa Street in East Jerusalem, overlooking the Temple Mount and serving as a microcosm of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On one side of the street lives a family of Israeli settlers, inside the home of a Palestinian family that was evicted from it. On the other side lives a Palestinian family facing eviction, along with some 750 other neighborhood residents, to make way for additional settlements.
