Then the National Labor Federation entered the picture. It signed a collective agreement with Maccabi, joined the proceedings on the plaintiffs’ side—and then, in the proceedings themselves, supported Maccabi’s positions against the workers’ claims. Yes, you read that right. The workers’ organization joined a lawsuit in the workers’ name—and in practice strengthened the employer’s side. When the organization that is supposed to stand by workers enters the arena and helps the other side instead, something here is turned completely upside down. And in this case, the outcome was accordingly: the court did not accept the workers’ arguments.
