We have declared a labor dispute at the Ashot Ashkelon plant, following a series of substantive issues concerning the future of local production, the wage agreement and the status of the company’s employees. At the heart of the dispute is the intention to move a significant part of a Boeing project to production outside Israel, alongside concerns that additional projects will be moved out in the future. From our perspective, this is a move that could harm local production lines and endanger hundreds of jobs in Ashkelon and the southern region. At the same time, negotiations to renew the wage agreement have reached a dead end.
