• A victory for nature, a victory for the public! 🌿✊ There are moments when Israeli democracy reminds us how much power there is in cooperation and determined struggle. Yesterday it happened in the Knesset: the five clauses that posed the greatest threats to the environment were removed from the Economic Arrangements Law! This is a moment to be proud. Because in the face of an attempt to bypass environmental protection mechanisms and advance economic interests and considerations at the expense of nature and the public—the citizens, activists, the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel and elected officials stood firm and did not give up.
