• **Regulating the terms of actors and workers with the Public Broadcasting Corporation.** We are launching a move to regulate the terms of actors and workers in television productions with the Public Broadcasting Corporation. There is no point in an agreement with the Producers Association if it cannot enforce it with production companies. The real producers are the broadcasters. Therefore, together with ACT, we appealed today to the CEO of the Public Broadcasting Corporation, Golan Yochpaz, demanding that he immediately open negotiations to establish the terms of actors and workers in television productions made for it. As part of an amendment to the Performers’ Rights Law that we promoted together with Eshkolot, an assistance fund for artists in distress, totaling 7 million shekels a year, has been enshrined in law! Until now, the funds were voluntary, and in some years no money was allocated to them at all. • Royalties from Netflix and international companies! Putting an end to an injustice: the historic amendment to the Performers’ Rights Law that we promoted together with Eshkolot in recent years has now passed in the Knesset and entered Israel’s statute book! Meaning: royalties also from international entities (Netflix, Amazon, etc.) that broadcast Israeli content. Many thanks to Eshkolot, which led the move.
