• A reservist will lose about 5% of their salary for up to 20 years because of prolonged absence from work. It is unacceptable that we risk our lives at the front and, in return, pay a cruel financial penalty that will follow us for decades and harm our pensions. The state must provide a real compensation mechanism that protects our employment future as reservists, and draft everyone possible in order to ease our service burden.
