The need to explain the trauma again to a new medical team can be challenging and sometimes impossible. Today, an event was held at the President's Residence, led by the President's wife, Michal Herzog, and attended by Health Ministry Director General Moshe Bar Siman-Tov, to launch the Purple Card, a joint project of the Health Ministry, Healthy Foundation and the Israel Association of Rape Crisis Centers. The card enables patients to communicate the existence of sexual trauma to the treatment team without words, thereby helping create trauma-informed care
