• We will remember, commemorate and continue telling the stories of the sons and daughters of Kiryat Gat who fell and were murdered in the Iron Swords War. This morning, we held a ceremony at the new memorial we established in their memory. When I was elected mayor, it was important to me to establish a place of remembrance and commemoration in the city. A place where the families can commemorate their loved ones, and where future generations will know their names and stories. Dear families, this memorial is our promise that your loved ones will remain part of Kiryat Gat—in the names we say, the stories we tell and the memory we continue to carry. May the memory of those who fell and were murdered be blessed. 🕯️

• Continuing to lead Kiryat Gat’s summer celebrations! It’s so great to meet you at our summer events throughout the city. We kicked off the summer with Shlomo Artzi’s historic performance in Kiryat Gat, and this week we hosted youth star Eyal Levy and the nighttime “Night Market” events. This coming Sunday, the Tarasov family and Tal Mosseri will be waiting for you, and on Tuesday we’ll meet again for a huge children’s happening with a variety of activities and surprises. • The renewal of the older neighborhoods is underway! As I promised you, we have launched a broad plan to upgrade and renew infrastructure in the old city and give the public spaces in the older neighborhoods a facelift. In the umbrella agreement we signed last week, for the construction of 21,000 new apartments for the entire population, I insisted that hundreds of millions be allocated to renewing and upgrading the older neighborhoods, because it is our duty.
