• This coming Shabbat, in the weekly Torah portion, we encounter the story of Joseph being sold — a story of brothers. Joseph goes out to look for them and says: "I am looking for my brothers." But they do not answer or listen to him; moreover, they throw him into a pit and then sit down to eat. A moment of detachment and indifference. In the video we created, in collaboration with Herzog College and actors Nadav Naveh and Matan Tzur, we use this story as a parable for the internal disputes among the people of Israel throughout the generations, and invite you to stop and reflect on our culture of disagreement today. Do we choose to ignore the other person, or stop and truly listen?
