• Dear residents, I watched the footage of the murder of the late Yimenu Binyamin Zalka, and it is hard to remain indifferent afterward. This was a shocking and difficult incident involving a 21-year-old man who worked at a pizzeria in Petah Tikva and was murdered on the eve of Independence Day after asking teenagers to stop spraying snow foam into the establishment. I am appalled by this act and condemn it in the strongest terms. As someone responsible for youth affairs, and as a father of three children, it is hard for me to come to terms with a reality in which such violence occurs at the heart of our society.
