• A major achievement today in the Knesset, for Eshkolot and performing artists, ahead of a historic decision for artists' rights in Israel! The Performers' and Broadcasters' Rights Bill was approved today by the Economic Affairs Committee and will be brought to the plenum for its second and third readings. The proposal is the product of a determined public struggle we waged for four years together with our colleagues at IUM, a struggle that included 21 discussions and more than 90 hours in committees, as well as endless research and advocacy work with all the parties involved. The law regulates the ability to collect royalties owed to performing artists from international streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and others.

  הישג גדול היום בכנסת, לאשכולות ולאמנים המבצעים, לקראת הכרעה היסטורית למען זכויות האמנים בישראל! הצעת חוק זכויות מבצעים ומשדרים אושרה היום בוועדת הכלכלה ותועבר להצבעה לקריאה שניה ושלישית במליאה. ההצעה היא פרי מאבק ציבורי נחוש שניהלנו במשך ארבע שנים יחד עם עמיתינו מעיל"ם, מאבק שכלל 21 דיונים ומעל 90 שעות בוועדות, עבודת מחקר והסברה אינסופית מול כל הגורמים המעורבים. החוק מסדיר את היכולת לגבות תמלוגים השייכים לאמנים המבצעים גם משרותי הסטרימינג הבינלאומיים דוגמת נטפליקס, אפל TV, אמזון פריים ואחרים.
