As a reservist, I was in the Gaza border area on that cursed day, and the images and smells do not leave me because they are not an “event”—they are an engraving. Netanyahu’s attempt to erase the word massacre from the legal memory of October 7 is not a semantic dispute—it is a disgrace. When they try to soften words, they try to soften responsibility; and when they change the name, they try to rewrite guilt. It was a massacre!! It was the greatest disaster to befall the Jewish people since the Holocaust. You will not wash away the blood with pretty words, you will not erase the smell with a government decision, and the truth will not be erased!!

On the other hand, I feel great pain at the thought that perhaps this result could have been achieved long ago, sparing so much unnecessary death, physical and emotional injuries, and fractures in our national soul.
