• Did you know your child is worth less? The data from "Zero Hour" leave no room for doubt: in the last school year, the Israeli government invested NIS 48,300 in a religious high school student, compared with only NIS 38,300 in a secular high school student. A 26% gap in favor of religious education. This gap is no coincidence. It is the result of decades in which the liberal camp gave up the Education Ministry portfolio while the religious parties rushed to seize it: Over the past 25 years, eight education ministers have come from the right and only two from the liberal camp. In addition, coalition agreements included 158 clauses inserted by the ultra-Orthodox parties, compared with only 11 by the centrist parties.
