While regular military service is being extended to 36 months due to needs arising, and that will continue to arise, from the long war and the lack of a political plan to resolve the situation in Gaza, the Knesset is racing ahead with a law that will grant the ultra-Orthodox public an exemption from service and deepen inequality. We will stand as an impenetrable wall against this failure. We will go to Knesset committees, cry out the soldiers’ outcry, make their exhaustion heard, and fight until an equal law is passed that matches the IDF’s needs.
