The award is given to individuals or organizations in recognition of significant action to promote integration and/or equality between Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel. This year, the award will be given to those who have been especially active in mixed cities and regions. • The Abraham Initiatives' 2025 annual report finds: 2025 was the deadliest year ever for Arab society in Israel. According to the data, 252 Arab citizens lost their lives in 218 cases of violence and crime — a further increase from 2024, when 230 people were murdered. Instead of investing resources and strategic management, including a combined and coordinated effort by all government ministries, we are getting cuts to budgets and programs, a lack of coordination and dialogue with Arab society, an extremely low crime-solving rate, and poor prioritization of police tasks. Precisely now, when discussion of political partnership is at the heart of public discourse, it is important to remember that a shared society is also built in everyday life, in the cities, neighborhoods and spaces where Jews and Arabs live together.
