Ten Utah House districts changed ratings in our latest update, and all ten moved toward Democrats. The reason is mostly money. Democratic candidates who were broke over the summer have caught up, and Republicans are spending big to protect seats they should win easily. Three GOP-held seats are now toss-ups. Republicans are still favored to keep control and their supermajority, but their margin for error is getting thinner. See the full race-by-race breakdown at the link: https://utahpolitics.

More than $1 million was spent on the Republican primary that ended Senate President Stuart Adams' time in the Legislature, making it one of the most expensive legislative primaries in recent history. Adams spent $719,143 and lost to Stephanie Hollist, who spent $297,000 and won by 1,613 votes. Our analysis of campaign finance disclosures looks at who paid for the race, who got paid, and what the filings leave unclear.

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
