Five people were executed inside a Mexicali bar in 2011. The name on the business was Nuricumbo. Diana Nuricumbo shut the Mexicali operation down and landed in Calexico. In February 2014, Calexico police booked her after a domestic call on Armendariz Court. Assault with a deadly weapon. Corporal injury to a spouse. Child abuse. She was Sheriff Ray Loera’s executive secretary. The heavy charges did not stick. Then she sued the same city. Federal case 3:14-cv-02827, Nuricumbo v. City of Calexico.
