September has come to an end but the Coastal Bend’s water woes certainly aren’t! In the Coastal Bend region, a majority of our water is consumed by billion dollar industries, not residents. As a result, our community has spoken out. So when we look at who needs to be responsible for turning off their taps, we should be looking at those who dragged us into this crisis in the first place. Have you been experiencing a different taste in your tap water? 💧

The Texas GulfLink Project is a threat to Texas communities! If approved, this project would only pose more risks, like increased pollution, to Brazoria county communities like Jones Creek! The time to stop this project and show our people power is now!

Next week on June 2nd, the City Council will vote, again, on the controversial Inner Harbor desalination plant. Tell Councilmembers Gil Hernandez, Carolyn Vaughn , Kaylynn Paxson, and Eric Cantu to VOTE NO AGAIN on the Inner Harbor desalination plant. The plan would do NOTHING to address the current water crisis and would only further drive up average residential water bills (to a total of over $500 per year!), all to deliver water to a handful of future large-volume industrial users.

Tell Councilmembers Gil Hernandez, Carolyn Vaughn , Kaylynn Paxson, and Eric Cantu to VOTE NO AGAIN on the Inner Harbor desalination plant. To address the immediate crisis, over the last six months the city has committed hundreds of millions of dollars to water projects whose combined planned capacity exceeds 100MGD, including investing in seawater desalination at Harbor Island. To now rush into spending an additional $1 billion or more on the Inner Harbor plant is not only needless but also rec

Join fellow neighbors and sign the petition to put the Fair Water Amendment on the ballot for November. Community groups are demanding the City Council end special rules for industrial heavy water users and help restore fairness and stability to drought response. Large corporations shouldn’t get special treatment during droughts. While residents face fines for using too much water, industries only pay a small fee to keep overusing.

Join us on August 25th to discuss important community topics related to water with fellow Coastal Bend residents. The city’s proposed Inner Harbor plant remains a massive mistake in the making. If built, it would dramatically increase residents’ water bills while putting at risk the Corpus Christi Bay, our fishing economy, tourism industry, public health, and the Hillcrest neighborhood. Recent data is clear about 1 thing. Industrial water consumers use more than 3X as much water as we do.

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
