One of the things I love about Madison is how our neighborhoods come alive when people come together. I spent part of Sunday at the Willy Street Fair with my daughters, watching the parade, music, local vendors, performers, and all the creativity that makes this neighborhood such a special part of our city. And somewhere between the marching bands, a giant globe, and carrying two increasingly heavy kids down Willy Street, we made some pretty good memories too. 😊 Events like this are about more

Yesterday I stopped by the HUB Pop-Up Market at the Black Business Hub, and I really enjoyed meeting local entrepreneurs and hearing the stories behind their businesses. One conversation that stayed with me was with the owner of Remi Clothing and Jewelry. She shared her story of hard work, entrepreneurship, and what it takes to build and grow a small business. Our Black-owned businesses bring creativity, jobs, culture, and opportunity to Madison. But behind every small business is also a person

PFAS isn't a new issue for Madison and it isn't new to me. During my time on the Common Council, I worked with colleagues to push for a stronger local response to PFAS contamination. I co-sponsored an effort to create a City-County PFAS task force, and as Council President, I created the President's Work Group on Environmental Justice to examine PFAS and other environmental impacts on our neighborhoods. I also co-sponsored a $425,000 budget amendment for testing, engineering and design of PFAS

Housing affordability isn’t just about renting or owning, it’s about whether people can afford to stay in Madison. Renters are struggling with rising rents year after year, while homeownership is increasingly out of reach for many working families and first-time buyers. New reporting shows Madison averaged just 16 new condos a year from 2021–2025, compared with nearly 550 annually before the Great Recession. We need more housing of all kinds and more pathways to homeownership, including condo

“A mayor for the people.” Thank you to Chali Pittman and Isthmus for the thoughtful coverage and for capturing the spirit behind this campaign. From the beginning, this campaign has been about listening to people across Madison, about the challenges families are facing, the neighborhoods they love, and the kind of city they want Madison to become. Thank you to everyone who has already welcomed us into your neighborhoods, shared your stories, challenged us with questions, and offered ideas for

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
