Ridgecrest has been the focus of my career in public service, and I’m asking for your support to continue serving our community on the City Council. Before retiring in January 2026, I proudly served Ridgecrest for 40 years—32 years with the Police Department, including 10 years as Chief of Police, followed by 8 years as your City Manager. Those years taught me the importance of listening to residents, setting clear priorities and following through. If elected, I will focus on the issues you ha

In my previous post, I shared why I’m running for Ridgecrest City Council. Now I want to share specific projects I will focus on during my term. These priorities will improve everyday life for our residents, support public safety, strengthen our infrastructure and create opportunities for economic growth: • Finish and open the Pinney Pool Complex so our residents can enjoy this long-awaited recreation facility. • Add an all-access playground next to the splash pad at Freedom Park, giving chil

In 2015, the city of Ridgecrest was placed in a state-imposed financial monitoring program. The concerns included three consecutive years of General Fund deficits, a troubling five-year forecast, insufficient ongoing revenue, and the city’s 2012 declaration of a fiscal emergency. During my tenure as City Manager, staff worked with the City Council and the community to turn that around. We lived within our means, sought new sources of revenue, operated with lean staffing, and restructured the ci

Leadership is tested in times of crisis. During my eight years as Ridgecrest City Manager, our community faced three major emergencies: • The 2019 Ridgecrest earthquakes • The COVID-19 pandemic • Tropical Storm Hilary in 2023 In each emergency, city employees, first responders and community partners maintained essential services, supported residents and helped keep Ridgecrest safe. After the earthquakes significantly damaged NAWS China Lake, the city strongly advocated for the base’s recover

I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Police Employees Association of Ridgecrest (PEAR). Having spent 32 years with the Ridgecrest Police Department, including 10 years as Chief of Police, I know firsthand the dedication of our police officers, dispatchers, and animal control officers. These professionals work every day to protect our community, often under difficult and dangerous circumstances. Our officers put their lives at risk, while our dispatchers and animal control officers pr

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
