  • When I have an hour of free time, one of Peter Santenello’s travel videos is never a regret. Peter shows the good, the bad, and the ugly all over America. But it’s real. The best part is the people, their experiences, their stories, and their hospitality. It always reminds me that we all have more in common than our differences. Thanks to West Bloomfield’s own Schuler Books for hosting the event.

  • There's a nice little loophole in Michigan's campaign finance laws that allows politicians to receive special interest money 1 day before an election and voters won't find out about it until after the election. Amy Mindell already used this loophole once, will she use it again? She already had to remove "Never representing special interests" from the top paragraph of her campaign website after I called her out on that.

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
