🚨🚨Council Benefits Developers NOT Residents! The council was asked by developers to fast track clear cutting for Lennar behind IHHS in 2024. Rather than do things on Oakland’s timeline, or at the very least make life more difficult for the developers, the council sped up cutting by 6 months. Decisions should be made on Oakland’s timeline and for the benefits of Oakland, not for some outside developers. source: 2/23/24 Council meeting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X-AUtlJlqc&t=2658s

🚨🚨The ones that caused the problem, are claiming they are going to fix the problem. 🤔 This is the definition of insanity; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Oakland doesn't need the hiring of a political patronage communications position, we need basic transparency.

🚨🚨This is the Oakland's Affordable Housing Attorney, Brian Giblin.🚨🚨 Brian dropped the ball along with the majority party running this town. He along with the mayor and council fell asleep at the wheel, rather than do what all other towns have done and rejoin the Highlands Act which would have reduced our housing obligation. Brian has been paid by Oakland for his "stellar work": 2025: paid a cap of 15K cap which was then raised to $19,617.50 this March because his bills went over the cap.

🚨🚨OUR property taxes should NEVER be based on a politician's personal salary. Candidate Schwertfeger promises to base Oakland's property tax on his personal cost of living increase related to his employment. Then he adds the caveat "Except for certain situations" Is an increase in Oakland's DPW funding to cover the constant clean-up of Pompton Lakes garbage collection a "certain situation"? If he gets a raise, your property taxes now have a higher ceiling. As an example his government em

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors.
