I grew up in East Palo Alto and came back when my wife and I bought a house here in 2021. One thing I really noticed coming back to EPA is our lack of sidewalks. Sidewalks are something that we should be able to take for granted—yet every day, I see kids walking down the middle of the street on Runnymede. This is not safe, and we need to do something about it, not just on Runnymede, but on all the streets throughout the city that lack sidewalks. People of every age should be able to walk around

Sam Jimenez For East Palo Alto City Council My name is Sam Jimenez, and I am running for East Palo Alto City Council because this city raised me and shaped who I am. I grew up here, attended school here, and now live here as a husband, father, and homeowner. I am the proud son of an immigrant from Michoacán, and I understand the hard work, sacrifice, and determination that define so many East Palo Alto families. I am also a small plumbing business owner and a decorated Green Beret veteran. M

I had the opportunity to meet Ramiro “Remy” Hernandez today, one of East Palo Alto’s own and a young fighter who is making a name for himself in MMA. Remy has already built an impressive amateur record, earned Pan American gold, and continues to represent EPA at a high level. What stands out just as much as the wins is the discipline, sacrifice, and work it takes to compete at that level. I’m proud to have Remy’s support in my campaign, and even more proud to see a young man from our city chas

Last week I was invited by the 49ers Foundation, Chisel Industries, and other skilled-trades organizations to attend Built for the Bay at Levi’s Stadium, where 370 high school students gathered to learn about the trades. These are the kinds of relationships that can open doors for East Palo Alto youth through training, apprenticeships, and real career opportunities. Now it’s about bringing more of those connections back home. #EastPaloAlto #BuiltForTheBay #SkilledTrades #YouthOpportunity #Com

I just met with Horacio Barrera and several East Palo Alto families at MLK Park, and I wanted to recognize the work he’s put into this community. Horacio is a local contractor and president of the Ravenswood Juniors Soccer Club. He has used his own time, money, equipment and relationships to help repair and regrade the baseball and soccer fields at MLK Park. Not long ago, parts of this park were known more for drug use, loitering and homelessness. Today, you see kids playing baseball, families

I am proud and honored to receive the endorsement of Betsy Yanez! Betsy has an incredible record of community service in East Palo Alto, serving as a Board Member of the East Palo Alto Sanitary District, Chair of the Public Works and Transportation Commission, and a Board Member of the East Palo Alto YMCA. Betsy knows my commitment to our city. I am deeply grateful for her support!

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
