Earlier this month, I sat in on the inaugural meeting of the Blanco County CERT team. We'd been asked to start one for a few years and kept holding off. Turns out that was the right call: interest kept building, and it gave us time to actually plan this instead of throwing something together. 30 to 40 folks showed up from every corner of the county, and based on the conversation, I expect this group to grow a lot from here.
