105 counties. Every county in Kansas. The statewide rollout of the Kansas County KORA Project is complete. We now have 79 substantive county responses, 8 offices still processing, 17 awaiting a substantive response, and one remaining routing issue. But the number that keeps bothering me is not 79. It is 96.9%. Kansas DCF’s currently posted SFY2026 investigative findings, populated through December 2025, show 24,103 unsubstantiated findings and 765 substantiated findings. That is 96.9% unsub

Heres some things I learned digging through Kansas DCF’s own published data. I started looking because I wanted to understand a much simpler question: **What does Kansas’s child-protection system actually look like when you put the allegations, the outcomes, and the national comparison next to each other?** The picture is difficult to ignore. In SFY2025, Kansas DCF received **70,303 child-protection reports**. DCF assigned **33,632** for further response. Separately, DCF completed **51,555

Pathways is launching a county-by-county KORA project focused on K.S.A. 38-2223(e)(3). The goal is to build a current statewide record showing whether counties track these matters and, when they do, what outcomes are recorded. That information will be compiled into a white paper for the Joint Committee on Child Wel

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
