Since then, MMSD has invested more than $600 million in flood management projects designed to slow, store and absorb water before it reaches rivers, sewers and treatment plants. Another $900 million is planned for future work.” https://www.milwaukeemag.com/how-is-milwaukee-preparing-for-flood-season/
