A parade photo shows that I was there. It doesn’t show how I’ll serve. If elected, judge me by whether I listen, do my homework, ask tough questions and explain my votes. Elected officials aren’t above the people. Literally or figuratively. They work for us. #PeopleFirstCommunityAlways #carvercounty #KhaiForCarverCounty

This photo means a lot to me. A few weeks ago, we gathered in the City of Carver for a simple community get-together. No big program. Just neighbors talking, asking questions, making signs, and getting to know each other. That’s really what this campaign has been about for me. Listening to people. Connecting people. And showing up. I’ve spent nearly two decades doing community work in Carver County, and I’ve learned something pretty simple: good things happen when people are willing to sit d

Community building isn’t something I started doing because I decided to run for office. It’s been part of my work for nearly 20 years. Listening. Connecting people. Bringing organizations together. Fiscal responsibility starts with asking the right questions. Commissioner pay is up nearly $18,000 in three years. The County Administrator position received a roughly $50,000 increase this year. The bigger question: Are we comparing Carver County to the right counties when we justify these increases? The numbers matter. So does how we get there. Okay, this is going to be fun. Artist Brandon Litman will be joining us at our Community Gathering this Saturday with spray paint, stencils and a whole lot of color. Pick your colors. Watch your Khai campaign sign get spray painted. Then take it home and stick it in your yard. Every sign will be a little different. And yes, they’re free. Brandon has been doing this kind of stencil art around the Twin Cities (and beyond!), turning ordinary campaign signs into something much more interesting.

The decision to run may have been a little spur of the moment. But the reasons weren’t. District 5 deserves a stronger voice. Here’s why I decided to step up and serve. People First. Community Always. #carvercounty #peoplefirstcommunityalways

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
