Today's episode of Getting To Know Our Neighbors highlights the work of Mustafa, who ranks among the most dedicated neighbors I've met (and that is SAYING something!). Mustafa works full time with the Milwaukee County Parks and we met him when he was volunteering at Hanan Relief Group's Day of Dignity - which is a volunteer-fueled effort that includes free school supplies for kids going back to school, food trucks, a bouncy house and more. Highlights: He recently moved to Franklin, so Froemm

A wonderful neighbor of mine - Sarah Ogilvie - recorded this episode of Getting To Know Our Neighbors back in May at the MKE Outdoor Indoor Exchange's annual Gear Gala. She and her husband moved from Oakland, CA a year ago, but the energy with which they engage their neighbors and community would have you believe they were born here! Humboldt Park Milwaukee gets another well-deserved shoutout, as do neighbors who were checking in on each other after the floods in April. Thanks to everyone

It's time for another episode of Getting to Know Our Neighbors! Shout out to this episode's guest Cheryl Neumann! She and her husband Bob host Music on the Porch every year, which is a nationwide block party and music initiative that occurs the last Saturday in August. YES. THIS SATURDAY! We give a lot of shout outs in this episode to Bay View parks, beaches, and neighbors. Stay tuned for updates from the block party and music on Saturday!

A weekend of block parties means more episodes of Getting to Know Our Neighbors! This episode was recorded at Cafe Lulu's 25th anniversary block party, and features Brian who runs the food pantry at the Bay View Community Center - whose volunteers and staff do so much to serve Bay View and beyond. Brian moved to Airport Gardens, so we were also able to shout out the awesome neighbors of the Airport Gardens Neighborhood Association whose annual block party is just around the corner! Highlighti

This episode of Getting to Know Our Neighbors is a throwback to the March for the Day Without Immigrants hosted by Voces de la Frontera on May 1st. We connected with a bunch of folks that day, including Ismael Luna - who told us about growing up in the Walker Square neighborhood, and how Walker Square Park was his childhood park. Unsurprisingly for someone who lives right next to the United Community Center, the thing he loves most about his neighborhood are the neighbors. Congratulations Ismae

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
