Clinton's McLain Rogers Park amphitheatre seating 3,000 people was built in Clinton in 1936 because Clinton was and is today the "Heart of the Arts in the West". That is why the musical "Oklahoma" was staged here for the State Route 66 Centennial! I was unrelenting in making sure we hosted this musical, certainly to entertain th elocals, the county and the State of Oklahoma, but the overriding reason was to lead Clinton one step closer to reinforcing itself as the center Arts and Culture in the
