Yesterday, I asked my opponent why she supports Cherriot's effort to raise taxes on Salem workers' wages with no public vote. Ward 6 residents overwhelmingly opposed Salem's payroll tax just over a year ago. She says her personal view on raising payroll taxes isn't relevant to her work on the city council. As your city councilor, I will oppose efforts to tax your wages and make life more expensive for businesses.
