  • A COMMUNITY WORTH CELEBRATING! There's something special about Thermopolis. Our beautiful surroundings, rich history, traditions, and community events all make this a wonderful place to call home. But the real secret ingredient is the people who bring it all together. Our families, businesses, volunteers, educators, first responders, Town employees, and neighbors all have a part in making Thermopolis what it is. Serving as Mayor has given me an even greater appreciation for the people and tr

  • THE ARENA About a month ago, someone brought Theodore Roosevelt’s Man in the Arena passage to my attention. Since then, it has really stuck with me. “It is not the critic who counts…” I don’t take that to mean criticism doesn’t matter. It does. People should question their government, challenge decisions and expect those of us in public office to explain ourselves. What Roosevelt’s words have made me think about is responsibility. Governing means dealing with the choices that actually exist.

  • $6.081 million for Thermopolis, and we're still working to bring the cost down. When new federal lead service line requirements were coming, our goal was to get Thermopolis moving early and put our community in a strong position for the funding that would become available. Town staff got to work. Administrative and public works staff worked with residents to identify service-line materials and reduce the number of unknowns throughout our community. This spring, that work helped put Thermopoli

  • A Better Location. A Better Investment. Last week I talked about one of the realities of being a small town: we have big needs, but we don’t have a big-city checkbook. Our new Transfer Station is a great example of what I meant. When we took a fresh look at Thermopolis' Transfer Station project, in 2023, the numbers showed why location mattered. At a public meeting on October 1, 2024, we walked through the project's history, the alternatives considered, the old and new locations, and example

  • Small towns have big needs. We just don't have big-city checkbooks. That's why I've worked to make every local dollar go further. By building relationships, planning ahead, pursuing outside funding, and putting Thermopolis in a position to compete when opportunities become available. That work isn't always visible, and it often begins years before anyone sees construction. But it's producing real results. Over the coming weeks, I'll share some of those projects, what they mean for Thermopoli

  • There is always more work to do. Thermopolis wasn't built by one person or one generation. Each generation inherits this community, works to make it a little stronger, and eventually passes it along. That's how I've tried to approach serving as Mayor, addressing today's needs while making decisions and pursuing investments that will matter years from now. We've made real progress. It's a slow process but worth it. We still have work ahead. I believe public service is about stewardship: takin

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
