Government can’t move in pennies while assessments move in percentages. Yes, Hampton lowered the real estate tax rate. But during that same three-year period, Hampton’s citywide residential property value base grew about 27.5%. A lower rate does not automatically mean a lower bill. That is one reason I’m running for Hampton City Council. Government has to move with the same urgency as the costs hitting your household. Don’t just show us the rate. Show us the bill.

“In partnership with” should include the people who live here. Watch the neighborhood from above. Then hear why my mother, Joan Weaver, and I spoke up at Hampton City Council. Homes, streets, and families should be part of the conversation before decisions change a neighborhood. This video connects my Buckroe Improvement League forum answer on development with our October 23, 2024 council remarks and aerial footage of the neighborhood. Showing up. Doing the work. Hampton did more than educate me. It shaped me. From Hampton University Laboratory School to Harkness Hall, HU is part of my story. I remember driving classmates to vote. Getting to the polls was not simple. That experience is part of why I spoke before City Council in support of a polling place at the HU Convocation Center. Voting access matters for students and nearby residents alike. Aaron T. Weaver for Hampton City Council Learn more: https://www.aarontweaver.com #HU #HamptonUniversity

Years of standing before council. Raising concerns. Calling for action. Too often, it felt like those concerns fell on deaf ears. On December 10, 2025, I addressed Hampton City Council about vape shops for the third time. I asked for clear limits and a plan for how these businesses were growing around our neighborhoods. We deserve a city that pays attention when we speak and acts before a problem spreads. That is proactive governance, and it is why I’m running for Hampton City Council. Busine

Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
