I've seen this doc shared often over the past few days. Maybe it is news now. If you've never seen it, it is a letter signed by the disgraced mayor of Martinsville claiming that City Council authorized a pay increase for disgraced (former) city manager Aretha Ferrell Benavides. City Council did not authorize it. I didn't even know it existed until a whistleblower in city finance informed us. I had to FOIA the same government of which I am a member to get a copy of it. Figures cover domestic political ads paid in dollars, from 4 May 2026. Spend is the sum of Meta’s range midpoints; impressions above one million are reported as “1M+”, so impression figures are floors. Each ad counts in the week its delivery started, with its lifetime spend at our last pull; ads still running before the vote are counted as of 31 October 2026.
